Data Discussions is not a conference.
There are no presentations. No slides. No AV. No keynotes. No expo hall.
You can watch hundreds of hours of the Data Day Texas speakers on YouTube — in your favorite chair, with your favorite snack, and hit pause whenever you want. People like Jessica Talisman, Juan OG Sequeda, Bill Inmon, Shachar Meir, Annie Nelson, Thais Cooke, Ryan Boyd, Ryan Dolley, Matthew Housley, Alexandra Pasi, Mark Freeman II, Lena Hall, and any of the marquee speakers from Data Day. The content is free. It's already out there.
What you can't do online is sit across a table from them in a room of ten to twenty people and work through a problem together. That's what this is. Five rooms, six rooms, however many rooms we need. Two days. Conversations all day - and all night. The hallway track becomes the entire event.
Everyone at Data Discussions is an animateur — French for "one who brings life to a room." There are no speakers and no audience. There are featured animateurs, listed below, who have committed to leading conversations. And there is you — because you're not here to watch. You're here to participate.
200 animateurs. That's the cap. Not because we can't fit more — because the format breaks if we do.
This is not an unconference - more like a highly curated salon - a weekend of salons - with espresso, whiteboards, and your favorite nighttime beverages.
October 10-11, 2026. Austin. AT&T Hotel and Conference Center.
